General Terms and Conditions

 

By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them.

The Terms and Conditions shall be legal and binding.

  1. No order will be placed unless your quote has been signed by the Client and returned to Blanco Bridal Couture within the time frame stated on quote, these terms and conditions are accepted by the Client and a deposit equal to 70% (sixty percent) of the total Purchase Price has been paid by the Client within the specified time.
  2. The remainder of the Purchase Price shall be payable in full within 1 (one) weeks’ notice of the bridal gown arrival in South Africa, to clear through customs, whether inspection or no inspection of the Goods has taken place by the Client. The Goods will only be released on cleared funds (proof of purchase alone will not be accepted) and/or payment with a debit card, credit card or EFT.
  3. No cheques will be accepted.
  4. The Purchase Price reflected on the quote form are inclusive of 15% (fifteen percent) Value Added Tax.
  5. The Purchase Price as stipulated in the signed quote will be fixed and not subject to any rate fluctuations.
  6. Once an order has been placed, the Client does not hold Blanco Bridal Couture responsible for the chosen Goods and its sizes ordered/decided on.
  7. Blanco Bridal Couture will only be held responsible should the Goods be delivered in the wrong colour/size/style other than ordered and agreed to with the Client here in.
  8. All dresses are manufactured with a standard retail length of 1.8 metres and will be altered upon arrival in South Africa, along with any other basic alterations if needed.
  9. Should the Client’s height exceed 1.8 metres, an extra length will be charged for accordingly.
  10. Dresses are cut to size, not to specific measurements. The sizes used to order are according to a general European size chart and may require further alterations to obtain the perfect fit as all bodies are shaped differently.
  11. Order time for Goods is 5 – 6 months unless otherwise agreed upon by management for an “RUSH ORDER” whereby a surcharge will apply.
  12. Expected delivery dates supplied for orders are an estimate only. As the merchandise is ordered from an international supplier Blanco Bridal Couture cannot guarantee exact day delivery.
  13. All Goods remain the property of Blanco Bridal Couture until the Purchase Price has been paid in full.
  14. All sample purchases from display stock are to be paid for in full and are sold “VOETSTOOTS”.
  15. If payment is not received within the specified timeframe the necessary interest charges that may be levied in terms of law will be charged accordingly and added to the outstanding balance of the Purchase Price.
  16. All Goods are to be paid for in full prior to collection thereof.
  17. Quotes are valid for 7 (seven) days from date of issue.
  18. All alterations or fitting work are excluded from the Purchase Price and will be quoted according to the work that needs to be done. Estimations can be obtained through Blanco Bridal Couture’s alterations team. Alteration’s fittings will only be done Monday – Friday (09:00 – 16:00). Alteration requirements will be charged separately and must be paid for in full prior to the Goods being altered.
  19. Advice taken from one of Blanco Bridal Couture’s consultants is taken at the Client’s own risk and discretion, and neither Blanco Bridal Couture nor the consultant can be held responsible for any decisions made about the alteration of any of the Goods which are deemed unsatisfactory after any alterations are completed if the Client requested the alteration.
  20. Blanco Bridal Couture reserves the right to cancel this Agreement with 5 (five) days’ notice to the Client if the Client is in breach of a term of this Agreement. The provisions below relating to the cancellation fee and administrative fee / handling fee will be applicable.
  21. Cancellation of any order by the Client or if the Client fails or refuses to pay the remainder of the Purchase Price shall attract a reasonable cancellation fee and an administrative fee / handling fee and due to the nature of the services, such fee may equal or exceed the 60% (sixty percent) deposit amount.
  22. The client agrees that the deposit amount taken is fair and reasonable and proportionate to the loss that Blanco Bridal Couture is likely to suffer if the order is cancelled by the Client or if the Client fails or refuses to pay the remainder of the Purchase Price.
  23. The Client understands and agrees that the Goods ordered is the Client’s size and was ordered on the Client’s request and that if the Client cancels the order that Blanco Bridal Couture will suffer damages because of the cancellation.
  24. Subject to the Consumer Protection Act, Blanco Bridal’s policy on refunds are as follows,
    1. . If the client wishes to cancel/return their order, no cash refunds will be processed, and the funds spent will be converted into a store credit/voucher that the client can utilise.
    2. The aforementioned is subject to the return not falling into one or more of the below categories.
      1. Goods sold due to Direct Marketing. In the event that the cooling off period expires and the client does not elect to return the goods during said time, the client will thereafter only be able to convert their purchase into a store credit/voucher and shall not be entitled to a cash refund.
      2. Goods which have not been seen before purchase, subject to the provisions contained in section 20 of the Consumer Protection Act;
  • Goods which do not meet a particular purpose subject to the provisions contained in section 53 of the Consumer Protection Act;
  1. Implied warrant of quality subject to the provisions contained in section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act;
  1. By signing these terms and conditions, the Client specifically agrees that all photographs/videos taken of the Client by Blanco Bridal Couture may be utilized:
    1. in publications or other media material produced by Blanco Bridal Couture
    2. to establish a portfolio of current clients and their progress; and
    3. to display all custom conversions that can be recreated by the designer.
    4. To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject.

 

 

Dry Cleaning

 

By using our wedding dress dry cleaning services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

Please note dry cleaning is performed by a third-party dry-cleaning company contracted by Blanco Bridal Couture.

 

  1. Garment Inspection: Before dry cleaning your wedding dress, we will perform a thorough inspection of the garment to identify any stains, damage, or other issues that may require special attention. We will inform you of any concerns before proceeding.
  2. Liability: While we take every precaution to ensure the safety of your garment, we cannot be held liable for any damage or loss that may occur during the cleaning process. This includes damage caused by pre-existing stains, weak or damaged fabric, or improper care instructions.
  3. Stain Removal: The dry cleaners will do their best to remove any stains from your wedding dress, but we cannot guarantee complete removal. Some stains, particularly those that have set or have been treated with other cleaning agents, may be impossible to remove.
  4. Fabric Care: The dry cleaners will use appropriate cleaning methods and solvents for your wedding dress’s specific fabric type to prevent damage or discoloration. However, we cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur due to the fabric’s natural deterioration over time.
  5. Collection: We will notify you when your wedding dress is ready for collection, and it is your responsibility to collect it within 30 days of notification. After 30 days, we reserve the right to dispose of the garment.
  6. Payment: Payment is due at the time of collection. We accept cash, credit cards, or debit cards. If you do not collect your wedding dress, you will still be responsible for payment.
  7. Complaints: If you are not satisfied with the dry-cleaning services provided, please contact us within 48 hours of collection. We will do our best to address your concerns promptly.
  8. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from the use of our contracted wedding dress dry cleaning services shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the laws of South Africa where the service was provided.

 

By using our contracted wedding dress dry cleaning services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to abide by them.

 

 

WEDDING DRESS RENTAL SERVICES

 

By using our wedding dress rental services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

 

  1. Reservation: To reserve a wedding dress, you must pay the rental amount in full and sign a rental agreement. The full rental amount is held as deposit.
  2. Rental Period: The rental period begins on the date specified in the rental agreement and ends on the date of return. Late returns will incur a fee of R1,000.00 (One Thousand Rand) per day.
  3. Dress Care: You must care for the dress and return it in the same condition as it was received. Any damage, excessive stains, or alterations not made by Blanco Bridal Couture will result in additional charges. You are responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during the rental period.
  4. Alterations: Alterations to the dress are not permitted without our prior written consent and can only be performed by Blanco Bridal Couture.
    1. Alterations on rental dresses is limited to alteration of the side seams and hem.
  5. Cleaning: You are responsible for returning the dress in a condition where basic dry cleaning performed by Blanco Bridal Couture contracted dry cleaners will ensure it is returned to its original condition and ready for the next rental. If the dress is returned in a dirty or damaged condition, you will be liable for additional charges up to the dress retail value.
  6. Collection and Return: You must collect the dress from our premises on the agreed date and time. Returns must be made on the agreed date and time. Failure to return the dress on time will result in late fees.
  7. Cancellation: If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so in writing and notify us at least 30 days before your first scheduled alteration fitting or collection date whichever comes first.
    1. If you notify us of your cancellation before this period, you will forfeit 70% of the full rental amount.
    2. If you cancel within this period, you will forfeit 100% of the full rental amount.
  8. Payment: The rental fee is due at the time of reservation. We accept cash, credit cards, or debit cards. If you fail to pay the rental fee, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and retain your deposit.
  9. Size and Fit: You are responsible for ensuring that the dress size and fit are suitable for you. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for issues related to the dress size or fit.
  10. Ownership: The dress always remains the property of Blanco Bridal Couture. You have no right or claim to the dress other than the right to use it during the rental period.
